Good
Monday morning (1-24-11),
Foundations are critical.
One prominent minister, Rick Joyner, recently came
forward with what he called the most urgent dream-vision he had ever received. Relating
to his vision, he shared that, “Our national problems are much worse than we
realize. The foundation of our nation is being consumed by a fire that
threatens everything…. [Only the Word of God] can save us now. I believe that
if the preachers and the prophetic voices in America don’t stand up and pour
out the truth, our whole nation is about to be lost. And we’ve got to pour the
truth on the foundation.”
Kenneth Copeland, who I trust immensely, prophesied
August 10th, 2010, that, “The world is in serious trouble. But for
the household of faith and those that will cling to My Word and listen
carefully…you can stand in your place and you can worship and you can praise in
the face of hell itself. The world, I’ll tell you again, is in serious trouble.
Some very hard things are coming in different places around the world. Very difficult times in a lot of places. They’re that way
now, but they’ll not get better. They will continue to get worse and worse and
worse. But for the household of faith every thing is
going to be ALL-Right. Every thing is going to be
ALL-Right.”
I’ve followed Brother Copeland’s ministry for over
thirty years and know him to be so optimistic that I’ve incorrectly thought him
to be a little polyannish at times. So to me, this
tone from him is very significant.
Others who are more perennial with their dire
predictions, like Pat Robertson and David Wilkerson, are also warning that
right now America’s foundation is in imminent danger of collapse.
The general interpretation I get from these
messages, and as importantly, what I hear in my own spirit, is that preachers
and prophetic voices in this country must immediately be about the business of
salvaging this nation’s foundation by pouring out the truth into our families, churches,
and communities.
The household of faith will continue to prosper. But
then again, that household is already established on a secure foundation.
“Offer to God
the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High, and call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall
honor and glorify Me.”
Psalm 50 encourages the household of faith to be
thankful and obedient by following through with what it has promised to God.
Like vows made to a husband, our vows to God to remain faithful to Him are very
important and must be kept. When we’re obedient and stay in His presence, no
devil in hell can come near or touch us. The Warrior Shepherd will never allow
that wolf to come near. Our foundation is eternally secure.
“But to the wicked, God says: What right have you to
recite My statutes or take My covenant or pledge on your lips, seeing that you
hate instruction and correction and cast My words behind you [discarding them]?
When you see a thief, you associate with him, and you
have taken part with adulterers. You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue
frames deceit. You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own
mother's son.
These things you have done and I kept silent; you
thought I was once entirely like you. But [now] I will reprove you and put [the
charge] in order before your eyes.”
This Psalm also addresses those who say they serve
God, but in fact do not. This is the element which has weakened our nation’s
foundation and compromised our calling.
Many who “recite” God’s statutes are adopting America’s
entitlement mentality, incorrectly thinking that, “I’m entitled to the benefits
of my covenant simply because I say I believe in Him.” Rather than walking in
instruction and correction, truth is discarded for modern, politically correct
lifestyles and philosophies, and sadly, now fundamentalism is viewed as wicked legalism.
What a strange twist!
The Church is commanded not to think or act like the world. Assuming that God is entirely like us,
our beloved institution has custom designed its own god, not too much unlike
what Israel did when she instructed Aaron to resurrect that idol baal out of their possessions of gold.
This must be what the Holy Spirit is warning us
about; God is not like us, but we must be like Him in all holiness and truth. The
Church must right now stop its compromise and become salt and light, otherwise,
as the Spirit warns, our national foundation will become so compromised that it
finally collapses away, and how great will be the fall thereof!
Those that are in the household of faith, for your
encouragement, let me share the rest of that prophecy given by Kenneth
Copeland.
“Feed on My Word. Look to My face. Praise and worship and praise and worship. Praise and
worship and preach the Word. Every thing is going to
be ALL-Right.
For as I’ve said, and will continue to say until it
becomes solid and strong in your spirit, your time has come…it is your time to
excel! It is your time to do exceeding, extraordinary things…in all the areas
where the world is in such dire trouble and so confused.
Every thing
is going to be ALL-Right in the household of faith. Everything is going to be
ALL-Right in your house! Hallelujah!”
Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm,
sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and,
“Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

For
thus the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, has said, "In repentance and
rest you will be saved, in quietness and trust is your strength."
